Mum spends £4,000 on Disney obsession and has 260 pairs of socks with characters on

A Disney super fan mum has spent thousands of pounds on her obsession turning her house into a cartoon shrine.

Rebecca Day, 32, has 260 pairs of socks with pictures of Disney characters including her favourite Winnie the Pooh.

Her house is slowly filling up with "bits and bobs" including themed cushions, mugs, and a jaw dropping collection of Disney ear headbands.

The mum became obsessed with the fantasy characters and all things related after a trip to Disneyland Paris in 2018 and enjoys watching the films with her children Keira, 13, Riley, 10, and Ava-Rose, eight.

"I just fell in love with Disney. It’s so magical," she told Kent Live.

"I wear my socks all the time. My little girl , steals them from me too."

Rebecca's bedroom is said to be "head to toe" Disney with a Mickey Mouse duvet and two sock drawers dedicated to her passion.

So far, she has since spent a whopping £4,000 on Disney clothes, toys and trinkets and shows no sign of slowing.

“We watch Disney films together and I am slowly decorating the house with Disney bits and bobs like cushions and mugs,” she said.

"But it’s tasteful. Apart from my bedroom which is Disney head-to-toe with a Mickey duvet and toys everywhere."

Rebecca, from Reading, Berkshire, admits she cannot resist picking up a new pair of Disney socks every time she visits Primark.

She also collects models of toy characters known as ‘pop in a box’ characters and owns more than 50 pairs of Disney ear headbands.

The mum's favourite Winnie the Pooh socks, her favourite character, are also loved by her children.

"I just love all things Disney. Every time I go into Primark I have to buy a pair of socks," she said.

"I’m onto my second draw of them now. I have hundreds of pairs. My kids love Disney too. I don’t think I’m ever wearing something that isn’t Disney."

Rebecca has plans to grow her collection and has now visited Pooh Corner in Hartfield, East Sussex - a Winnie the Pooh themed tea room.

"I love it. It makes me happy," she said.

"Luckily my house is big enough for all my Disney stuff. I even have a Disney Christmas tree.”
