Mum snaps up four-night Butlin's break for just £41 using money-saving tricks

A woman has managed to bag herself a stay at Butlin's for just £3.42 per person, per night.

The unbelievable bargain was secured by mum Dawn Lewis, who was looking for a place to stay with her partner and child in November 2023.

She opted for four nights at the Butlin's holiday camp in Skegness, Lincolnshire, which would usually cost £89 for three people for one double and one twin room.

The keen couponer managed to secure an extra £48 off thanks in part to a January promotion, bringing the total price for the stay down to £41.

With the cost-of-living crisis and inflation continuing to make planning trips away difficult for lots of people, the holiday camp can be a great option.

While the rooms may be simple, they are located on great coastal spots and have plenty of activities for kids and adults, all at the fraction of the cost of a holiday abroad.

Other parents hopped on Dawn's post to share cut price breaks they'd secured at Butlin's.

"I’ve got 30 January to 3 February this year for two adults and two toddlers, apartment for £41 booked last year," one mum wrote.

Another added: "I went to Skegness in December for Christmas. We had a gold apartment with 6 of us.

"It was immaculate. Cleaners knocked every day to see if we needed anything doing. Clean towels every day. That was £160 for 6 of us, Monday to Friday."

While Butlin's breaks are generally associated with the summer time and lounging around on the beach, some people are advocates of visiting the parks during the winter.

Aside from the fact that out-of-season visits are cheaper, one of the most noticeable differences when the skies are dark and the days short is the amount of space.

There is far more of it than in summer, with plenty of parking available on the main Skegness seaside car park, costing just £2 a day.

It's a good time to visit if you're a dog walker who can handle a bit of bracing weather, as you're allowed to take your pet for a stroll on main strip between September 30 and May 1.
