A mum has been slammed as "ridiculous" by fellow parents after suggesting that she ban her child from painting at school.
The woman took to parenting forum Mumsnet to share that her four-year-old son has "come home with paint on his white shirt" twice.
After failing to remove the stain, she questioned whether she should prevent her son from taking part in painting activities at school.

She wrote: "My 4yo has started a new school. Twice so far he’s come home with paint on his white shirt that I can’t remove.
"I’ve washed them repeatedly, used Vanish, used whitening sachets, and in the end I soaked them in neat bleach. Even after two days in neat bleach the paint has not fully come off!
"The first time I complained and they said well it’s washable paint so. The second time I said no it’s not bloody washable because it’s happened again, and they said well nobody else has complained so.
"If this happens a third time AIBU to say he’s not permitted to use paint at school any more? It seems mean but I can’t afford to keep replacing his uniform."
She added: "I’ve just spent £250 on uniform and I’m not very happy about it getting ruined within a few days. He needs to wear it for the full year because I can’t afford to replace it."
Before long, the post had received dozens of replies from fellow Mumsnet users. The majority were in agreement that the woman was being "unreasonable".
One said: "You're bonkers (in the nicest possible way). What's the big deal if he has a stain on his white shirt? Uniforms never stay pristine, especially not at 4!"
"Send him in the paint shirt my god," a second argued, while a third agreed: "Just send him in the paint stained shirt and don't be ridiculous."
A fourth echoed: "Send him in with an old shirt to wear for painting!"
A fifth commented: "Don't be daft. As if they'd make him sit out painting to keep his shirt clean!"
A sixth shared: "You are being unreasonable on many levels. A 4-year-old will get messy. "
Meanwhile, a seventh posted: "Do not ban your child from painting! 100 per cent more unreasonable than sending him to school with a stained shirt."
