A mum is using Poundland lube instead of serum to tame her locks in a bonkers haircare trend.
Andrea Rose bought the product for a laugh but now says the results speak for themselves.
The silky substance is usually used for sexual purposes but the mum is now embracing another use for it.
The 48-year-old Poundland shop assistant ditched her expensive hair serums for a bottle of 'Fun Time' lube and says it works a treat.
She picked up the hack from a customer who was stocking up on the product.
The mum, who works at the Cleveland Retail Park store, Middlesbrough, told Teesside Live : "I was at work and this lovely lady came in to do a bit of shopping and bought three bottles of lube for £3.

"I didn't say anything and just scanned them through but she turned to me and said 'do you know why I'm buying this?'
"I didn't really know know what to say so I just said 'Oh no, why?' and she basically said someone had told her it's as good as using 'Frizz Ease' which is about £8 a bottle when it's on offer.
"I couldn't believe it when she said it was really good, and with me having really curly hair I thought you know what, for a pound, what have I got to lose?"
Andrea insisted she bought the product for a bit of a laugh, and didn't have expectations of it working well.
She added: "I told everyone at work and they all laughed at me because I bought the tingle sensation one but they were all dying to know how I got on with it; so I was happy to say it worked.
"Honestly, it's as though I've used an expensive serum on my hair so I don't know whether it has a similar ingredients but it has definitely worked.
"Everyone was convinced it would be sticky but it's not. My hair is soft and frizz free so I'll be using it again - for £1 it's a total bargain if you ask me.
"I absolutely love where I work and I love chatting to everyone for advice and tips and this one is up there with the best."
