Mum shares date of daughter's funeral which will be 'fit for a princess'

The funeral for a mum who died after collapsing of a heart attack in a Turkish airport will be "fit for a princess" said her devastated mum.

Melissa Kinsella was on holiday with her partner, Jay Smith, his family, and their three children, Chloe, nine, Beau, four, and Romi, two when she collapsed after suffering a heart attack in Antalya Airport on May 15. After being rushed to hospital doctors told her family she had swelling on her brain and heart.

Melissa from Moreton was flown home by air ambulance and was blue-lighted to Arrowe Park Hospital on Wednesday, May 24, but two days later, on May 26, the family received the devastating news that she was clinically dead. Now the details of Melissa's funeral have been announced on social media.

When speaking to the ECHO last week the family said they want to lay Melissa to rest with a funeral "fit for a princess" and have asked those in attendance to wear bright clothes so they can "light up the chapel for our sleeping beauty".

The post made by mum Michelle Heathcote said: "Can’t believe these words are coming from my mouth. Melissa Bridget Kinsella's funeral is on June 30 at the Landican at 12pm. Leaving our house in horse and carriage at 10.30am then on to Sacred Hearts at 1pm. Can we all wear bright-coloured clothes so we can light up the chapel for our sleeping beauty."
