A mum was slashed across the face with a box cutter while protecting her four-year-old daughter from a masked intruder.
Crystal Simpson, 23, was attacked in her home in Melbourne, Australia, at around 12.30pm on Monday.
The mother used a steering lock to fight off the robber, who demanded her car keys and cash, to prevent him from getting near her little girl.
Ms Simpson said 'blood was going everywhere' during the attack, which left her with face and arm injuries.
She told 7News : "He was still coming towards me and I didn’t want him to come to that end of the house because of my daughter so I went towards him instead and I just started hitting him.
"I hit him in the side of the legs to bring him lower than me and hit him a few more times."
Her attacker stabbed her in the face and arms, narrowly missing one of her main arteries, Mail Online reports.
The mum's display of courage forced the robber to flee the house through the back door, according to 10 Daily .
Her fiancé, Damien Jurss, has now put out a 'big reward' for information about the coward.
Mr Jurss wrote on Facebook : “She (Ms Simpson) refused to hand everything over and attacked him back with [a] steering wheel lock until he ran away through the back door.
“He will be limping around as my fiancée repeatedly hit his knee cap and neck with the steering lock."
He said the criminal appeared to be aged between 30 and 40 and looked 'like a junkie'.
The fiancé added that the thug was wearing a blue hoodie, black tracksuit trousers, black Nike Air Max trainers and a mask.
