Devastated mum blames dad for crash that killed him and her 'little angel' daughter

A mum has spoken of her grief after her teenage daughter was killed along with her dad when the car they were travelling in smashed into a gym.

She also blamed the girl's dad for the crash, reportedly claiming he had been drinking alcohol prior to getting behind the wheel.

Lacie Roberts was described as a "little angel" by her heartbroken mum after the horror crash, reports NorthWalesLive.

Police are investigating the collision which also saw the 13-year-old's dad Daniel killed and left three other people seriously injured.

His white BMW 330 struck the LyonsDen Fitness gym in Bagillt, Flintshire, at around 2.30am on April 22.

No other vehicles were involved.

Lacie's mum Kieley Messham wrote: "I love her so much, I need her back. I just need her to be OK.. life will never be right again."

In a tribute, she said: "I can't express in words just how amazing Lacie was, I really can't.

"She has always been the biggest wind-up merchant in our home but in the best of ways, Lacie just loved making people laugh.

"Saying that, she found herself hilarious, too.

"I'd do anything to hear that laugh again, literally anything.

"She had so much about her and I wish I could pour it all out but no words will bring her back home to me, and to us.

"She is loved and forever will be.

"I never want to not hear her name, and I'll try and keep memories of Lacie alive - whether that be crying or laughing, she will be remembered.

"I cannot get my head around any of this, no mother should have too.

"Lacie - I'm sorry, I'm lost for words, you're one-of-a-kind and no number of words can express how broken we are that your life was snatched away.

"We all love you and will miss you daily, until we meet again, my mini me - I love you so, so much."

Lacie's auntie Louise Messham set up a fundraising page to raise money to help Kieley, of Flint, North Wales, "give Lacie the best send off we can".

She wrote: "The crash killed 2 people, they were father and daughter and it also seriously injured three others.

"Our beautiful Lacie Jade Roberts has been cruelly taken from us far too soon.

"You don't expect for this to happen to your family but this time it has, we are really struggling to come to terms with it."

"We have setup this funding page to help Lacie's mum cover the cost of a funeral for her beautiful, bubbly baby, with the prettiest green eyes you would ever see."

Louise said Lacie's dad Daniel's "foolish actions" had left the family heartbroken.

She wrote: "Our family as you could imagine are broken and shocked at the foolish actions of Daniel that morning, the person who was meant to protect her from any harm, not endanger her life and take her away from us.

"What he has done to us as a family is beyond any pain or hurt we could ever of imagined."

The fundraising page has already exceeded its target and raised more than £9,000.

North Wales Police said at the time: "Officers attended the scene of a single vehicle Road Traffic Collision.

"The collision occurred near the junction of the A548 with the A5026 at Bagillt, and road closures were put in place.

"Sadly, two people have died, and another three are currently in hospital in a serious condition.

"We are appealing for any witnesses or those with dashcam footage, that saw a white BMW 330 saloon travelling along the A548 from the Flint direction towards Bagillt, prior to 2.30am to please contact us."
