A mum is furious after her schoolboy son was handcuffed and forced to lie on the ground as police searched him after being spotted "play fighting" with friends.
Jacqueline Dom said her 14-year-old son Kayden was on his way to a guitar lesson in Newham, east London, when Met Police officers appeared.
She said Kayden texted her saying he was "so scared" following the incident on Wednesday, May 18, reports MyLondon.
The teen was walking past Stratford Park at around 4.15pm with four friends when the boys were subsequently searched before being released.
She said: "Two of the boys were play fighting and then next thing you know the police jumped out of their van and told them to get to the ground.
"Kayden was also searched by a female police officer, which I didn't think was allowed."
Jackie said while she understands police must respond if they think a crime is being committed, she believes that race was an underlying issue in the incident.

She claims that a white boy was also involved in the play fighting, but was told he was not searched.
The Met Police said officers were of the view that the four boys that were stopped and handcuffed were assaulting the fifth boy, but did not comment on the colour of their skin.
"They are all friends and have been since primary school," Jackie continued.
"The problem is that some of the boys told me that it was actually one black boy and one white boy who was messing around.
"If that was the case, why have they only stopped and searched the black boys in the group and left the white boy alone? That is completely wrong.
"In the video you see one officer talking to the white boy and being sympathetic and asking him whether he's got any injuries.
"Yet, the four black boys were thrown to the ground and handcuffed over play-fighting.
"The question is you either saw the white boy play fighting and decided not to arrest him or you decided that the white boy was the victim in the case no matter what."
The fuming mad added her son was on a way to a guitar lesson in Stratford when the horrific incident happened.
Jackie added: "He was aggressively thrown down and handcuffed.
"I always tell him that if he is ever stopped by police to remain compliant and he was, but to then see his friend standing there, not being treated like he was, that'll live long in his memory.
"I've had conversations with him about the prejudices and discrimination he will face due to the fact he is black but this was heartbreaking to see the video.
"There's no excuse for the difference in treatment the boys faced.
"Before they saw each other as friends and that they were the same but based on this experience, they'll now realise they won't be treated the same going forward."
Jackie visited Forest Gate Police station to get answers about what happened.
She said she also asked to see the report of the search and claims she found that they had listed four black males as being searched but nothing about the white boy.
"I've spoken to one of the parents of one of the other black boys and they said that when their child came home, they didn't feel like themselves," she continued.
"They also said that 'nothing is going to change so it's fine'. I just want answers."
The Met Police said: "At 4.20pm on Wednesday, May 18, officers from the North East Command Unit were on patrol in West Ham Lane E15 when they witnessed what they believed was a fight involving a group of male youths.
"Four males were handcuffed and searched under S.1 of PACE.
"Nothing was found and they then went on their way. None were arrested.
"We are aware of a video circulating on social media showing a small part of the incident.
"Officers are fully aware that their actions will be scrutinised as they go about their work.
"It is only right that they are accountable for their actions and so the local Professional Standards Unit is conducting a review of the incident."
