Mum's disbelief as son, 5, explains why he stuck a marble up his bum

Every parent knows the feeling of dread when their kids are suspiciously quiet and you know they're getting up to something mischevious.

That's exactly how this mum felt when her son told her he had stuck his favourite marble up his bum.

In a video shared to TikTok, Brittany McKillop joked how this was something "only a mum of boys will understand" as she explained: "Last year, I'm on the phone to my girlfriend and my five-year-old comes out looking really worried and walking real funny."

After she cut the call, her son told her that he had "lost his marble."

Unsurprisingly she started searching the house for the missing marble.

She added: "So I asked him, 'where's the last place you had it?' And he went, 'up my bum'."

So, Brittany tried to remove the marble herself using Vaseline and gloves - but with no luck.

Brittany continued: "I had a look and couldn't find anything.

But he'd actually stuck it up his bum for safe-keeping (TikTok)

"So I was like, 's**t we're going to have to go to hospital."

While they were sat waiting at the hospital she asked her son why on earth he decided to put the marble there, to which he replied: "Mum, I wanted to keep it safe!"

At which point she said: "ERMM, it's not a pocket."

Thankfully, the doctors were able to remove the marble without any trouble.

Brittany concluded: "So we get into the X-Ray room, he pulls his pants down and as he bends over, out comes this green marble bouncing across the room."

The video has since been liked almost 300,000 times and has received over 3,500 comments from people who found the ordeal hilarious, and said it's definitely a story she can embarrass her son with for life.

One person said: "Please keep this story for his 21st" adding three laughing emojis for good measure.

Another added: 'That's a story to tell his future girlfriend or boyfriend."

And a third joked: "Thanks for reminding me to take my birth control" with which Brittany replied saying: "Your comment is two days old. Please watch the video again for your daily dose of contraception."
