Mum's desperate appeal as son vanishes after leaving gig venue

The mum of a 20-year-old from Pembrokeshire who has gone missing in Bristol has made a desperate appeal for his safe return. Jake Jones was last seen around 1.45am on Sunday, March 5, leaving the O2 Academy in Frogmore Street, Bristol.

Mum Louise Evans said Jake's family are "worried sick and terrified" for Jake and hope that someone sees him and he comes home soon. She added: "I am going out of my mind with worry. It's horrible not knowing where Jake is."

Police in Bristol have said he has not been seen since and officers are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare. He was seen wearing a dark blue jumper, a green Bob Marley T-shirt, black jeans, black shoes, and a black baseball cap as shown in the left photo above. Jake, who is from Pembrokeshire and has no local links to Bristol, is described as white, about 5ft 6ins tall, with short brown hair and a neat moustache.

Detective inspector Will Thorpe of Avon and Somerset Police said: “Officers from our Neighbourhood Policing team will be handing out leaflets in the city centre in the hopes of finding any information on Jake’s whereabouts. We are growing increasingly concerned for his welfare and would like to speak to anyone who recognises him and may have seen him in the early hours of Sunday morning.”

Anyone who knows where Jake is has been urged to call 999 and quote reference 5223052787 or asked to call 101 with any other information. Anyone with phone or CCTV footage of Jake which may help police can upload it by clicking here.
