Mum's birth selfie from delivery room has people cracking up - thanks to husband

Giving birth is an exciting time for the parents-to-be as they prepare to welcome their little one into the world.

However it can also be a pretty stressful and gross time as one couple have highlighted.

An unnamed woman has gone viral on Instagram after sharing a hilarious selfie she took in the delivery room just after giving birth.

The image shows the new mum lying on a hospital bed, her hair back in a hair net, covered by a blanket - but it's not her that's capturing people's attention, it's her husband.

The unknown dad can be seen flat on his back on the floor, surrounded by three medical professionals, one of whom is holding the baby.

Clearly the miracle of childbirth just got too much for the poor chap and he fainted.

The doctors look pretty concerned about the situation, but his wife has a huge grin on her face in the photo - don't think he'll be living that one down for a long time.

The picture was shared on the Instagram account worthfeed, which has over 122,000 followers.

They captioned the post, writing: "He was here to encourage his wife at her first childbirth."

Many people commented on the photo, sharing jokes and admitting how funny they found it.

One person said: "He was beside himself."

Another replied: "Show it to his child when they're older."

"Omg lmao poor guy he had no idea what he was in for," wrote someone else.

A fourth person added: "That dude will never live this down."
