Mum-of-seven, 62, insists she's not too old to have 8th baby with husband, 26

A mum from Georgia has admitted she's ready to have baby number eight at the age of 62.

Grandmother Cheryl McGregor insists she is ready to mother a child with hubby Quran, 26, and has already spoken to three surrogates about the process.

The couple from Rome in Georgia also said they'd be open to the idea of adopting to materialise their dream.

Speaking on This Morning, Cheryl - whose seven children are from a previous relationship - hit out at those who said she was too old to take care of a tot. She slammed the trolls for their words and insisted she has more energy than half those complaining.

The pair spoke to the UK breakfast show via a video link from Atlanta. Cheryl told the hosts: "They said I guess just because of my age I can't take care of a baby, what? I have got more energy than half of these kids that are taking care of babies now and I don't see it as a problem.

She continued: "No I can not have a baby myself but we have done the surrogacy thing where we already had three surrogates and right now we are looking for another one and also maybe adoption."

The couple have a huge following of over three million on TikTok and revealed they've had to "battle" with their families over their relationship.

Those closest to them are said to see the coupling as a joke, but Cheryl insists that's not the case. She added: "Out of seven of my children I really have two but one who really stands by us through everything and it took a while to come to that conclusion that they like him."

The pair first set eyes on each other in 2012 when they both worked in the same fast-food establishment. However, it wasn't until years later that they formed a romantic connection.

After losing contact, they reconnected in 2020 when caretaker Quran saw Cheryl working as a cashier at a convenience store.

Following an instant spark, the duo decided to give dating a go and tied the knot a year later in front of 20,000 viewers on live stream.

The duo, who also have an Only Fans account, say they receive a lot of hate online, but the words don't phase them.

Quran commented: 'We are just going to keep living our lives because we are happy, we are very much happy, this is a happy healthy marriage, we are looking to start our family and that's all we got."

Cheryl went on to admit it felt like a case of "us against the world".
