Mum-of-22 Sue Radford reveals clever holiday packing hacks used by UK's biggest family

When it comes to packing for a family holiday a woman with 22 children is probably going to know more space-saving suitcase hacks than there's been boozy stag dos to Benidorm. Thankfully then, the mum of Britain's biggest family has shared exactly the kind of tips that will make getting ready for this year's summer break that much easier.

Taking to YouTube after recently returning from a vacation to Florida, Sue Radford, from Lancashire, revealed some of her handiest hints when it comes preparing to travel, Lancs Live reports.

And the 47-year-old - who shot to fame on a Channel 4 documentary about her extensive brood in 2012 - began by praising some cube-shaped packing bags which she'd purchased on Amazon.

"Loads of people ask me on Instagram about these packing bags, they are absolutely amazing," she said, before revealing how multiple cubes can fit inside one suitcase. Each child has their own 'cube' for their holiday clothes, she added.

Sue then explained how she manages to fit in huge amounts of clothes. "If you roll them up it's amazing how much stuff you can get them.

"It's so easy and when you get to wherever you are going you can just pull them out of the suitcase - you don’t really need to unpack, which is great." And, to ensure luggage isn't left behind when catching a flight, Sue revealed she separates some of the luggage into different suitcases so, if they do get lost, each person at least has something to wear.

She said: "I don’t know about anybody else, but I always worry when you go abroad that some of the luggage is going to get left behind. So what I do is separate it into different suitcases so if they do lose a suitcase, everybody has always got something when we get to the other side.

"Some of the swimming costumes are in one bag, some are in different suitcases, and the same with the kids’ clothing." When it came to organising transportation Stateside, however, things were never going to be that easy.

Noel, her partner, admitted in their vlog that the couple had to hire a 15-seater minibus to get around Florida - as some of their older kids decided to stay home in the UK - along with a pick-up truck "so we could just chuck all the cases in the back." The family visited Disney and Universal theme parks on their trip away.

Sue, 46, and Noel, 51, are parents to Chris, 32, Sophie, 28, Chloe, 26, Jack, 25, Daniel, 23, Luke, 21, Millie, 20, Katie, 19, James, 18, Ellie, 16, Aimee, 16, Josh, 14, Max, 13, Tillie, 11, Oscar, 10, Casper, nine, Hallie, six, Phoebe, five, Archie, four, Bonnie, three, and Heidie, two.
