Mum left crying with laughter as daughter proudly shows off 'cakes' she's made

When it comes to children, they love getting creative and painting, colouring and making things out of clay.

But as a parent, it can be tiring having to gush over their finished artwork as if they were the next Banksy or Picasso.

However, one mum didn't have to force a reaction at all after her three-year-old daughter proudly showed off her Play-Doh handiwork.

Sam Shaw was left 'crying with laughter' when her little one, Evie, showed off the lovingly-crafted 'cakes' she'd made out of the colourful modelling compound.

This is because everything the tot had made appeared to be perfectly penis-shaped.

Sam recalls how she burst out laughing when Evie innocently served up phallic-looking delicacies - complete with bell-shaped 'toppings'.

The little one proudly declared herself to be a "master cake baker" before pretending to cut and serve her 'cakes' to Sam and her seven-year-old brother Noah.

The mum-of-two shared a look at the Play-Doh creations on social media where fellow users were left in hysterics at the cheeky shapes.

Sam, from Sheffield, South Yorks, said: "Evie loves to get the Play-Doh out and pretend to bake.

"She told us to go and sit down and she'd be back with some cakes.

"The next thing, she brought this tray out and they didn't look much like cakes.

"I couldn't stop laughing, I was crying. I couldn't speak - I was laughing so hard.

"She's so innocent. I said 'Evie, they're brilliant' and she said 'I'm not Evie, I'm a master cake baker'. Then she cut them up for us to 'eat'."

One person replied to the post writing: "What on earth has she seen you eating?"

Another commented: "What kind of Bake Off do you watch?"

A third said: "Oh my God. I thought it was a rocket bless her."

While someone else noted: "Top right looks a bit like me on a cold morning."

A different user added: "Lovely cakes. You've just got a dirty mind."

Regional manager Sam admits she's still confused as to where her daughter's inspiration for the 'cakes' came from.

She added: "She's so funny and without trying and she's sassy. She's an old lady in a little girl's body, she's so grown up. Kids are just so funny.

"I don't know what she was trying to make the Play-Doh look like. The only difference between them all is that they're all different colours.

"I have no idea where she got the shape idea from.

"It's typical of her. She's very creative and likes to make things in different shapes and sizes and make use of all the tools."

"I've had so many comments from people about which shapes and sizes they'd prefer. The purple one has had the most votes."
