A 57-year-old woman has become one of the oldest mums to give birth in the world.
Barbara Higgins welcomed her son Jack into the world on March 20 after undergoing IVF.
Barbara welcomed 5lb 13oz Jack with husband Kenny Banzhoff.
Even before giving birth Barbara was proving age is only a number and was woking out in the gym the day before she went into labour.
Barbara, from New Hampshire, USA, wanted to have a baby after her 13-year-old daughter Molly sadly passed away five years ago of an undiagnosed brain tumour, reports the Daily Star.
She told NBC Boston: "I started having these dreams that I wanted to have a child, and I thought, 'OK, Barb, that's a little crazy.'"
The mum, who also has a child called Gracie, says dreaming of babies helped her through her grieving process.
Barbara told the TODAY show: "I attached [the dreams] very much to my grief process, and a couple of years went by where I had this sort of compelling thought in my head that I should have a child.
"The dream was pretty consistent."
Kenny, 65, is delighted his partner's dreams have come true.
He said: "We've beat the odds. I'm so proud of her, she's been a trooper through the whole thing."
While the family are chuffed with their latest addition, Barbara has some worries about the future.
She told the Concord Monitor: "Nobody can give birth to a baby and know with a certainty that they will see that baby grow up.
"Yes, I'm scared and I'm anxious, but I'm so excited."
According to the Guinness World Records, Maria del Carmen Bousada Lara is the oldest woman to give birth.
The Spanish woman was 66-years-old when she gave birth to twins in 2006.
