If you’re looking to save money in the supermarket, you might want to take inspiration from this very savvy mum.
Meghan and her husband Marcus, who live in the US with their five children - Israel, 9, Ezra, 7, Johanna, 5, Zion, 3, and Nola, 1 - have explained how they feed their family of seven for just 61p per person, per meal.
Better yet, the pair only do 12 big supermarket shops a year. Meghan says she makes one trip to two supermarkets a month to stock up her cupboards.
She delved into details of her latest food haul on her YouTube channel Planting Birches.
She said: "We go to the store once a month and get all the things."
The mum visited two stores in total, Sam's Club and Meijer with the help of her sister and spent £390 ($515) in total.
The first shop from Sam’s Club cost £217 which she said was “a slightly higher side of life” than what she’d usually spend.

Some of the goods Meghan purchased for her family include a five-lb bag of apples, 2kg of chocolate chips for baking and six packs of spaghetti.
Meghan also picked up eight-lb of rice, two litres of apple sauce, 12-lb of peanut butter and four packs of crackers from Sam's Club.
In her second store, Meijer, she purchased a selection of grocery and household products including surface cleaner and laundry detergent.
Meghan also got bleach and toiletries, as well as fruit and pantry staples such as pancake mix, cornbread and brownie mixture.
The mum spent a grand total of £172 in Meijer and had two trollies packed full of goods for that price.
Meghan says her preparedness when it comes to food shopping means she only spends around 61p per person, per meal.
The mum-of-seven has clarified that these big shops are for “larger goods” and confirmed the family does top up their fresh produce.
“We like to go back weekly for fresh fruits, veggies, milk and bread,” she explained.
Meghan was praised by fellow bargain hunters after posting her video online.
One person said: “Wow great work mom!!! I am divorced and take it from someone when eats out of a microwave or a drive through window, this was like watching some kind of wizard master that knows how to feed her people!!”
Another commented: “Love your videos! Thank you so much for sharing! I am a Midwesterner myself (Iowa) with 4 kids (boys) now living in California (Navy). I’m still trying to figure out how to feed these people without breaking the bank. So glad to get some ideas from you!”
