Mum claims 'perfect baby name' was ruined by daughter's early arrival

A mum claims that she had chosen the "perfect" baby name but it was ruined by her daughter's early arrival. Tiffany says the name was based off the due date, but her bundle of joy came into the world sooner than expected.

She took to social media to share the story behind the naming of her newborn girl and how things didn't quite go as planned. Posting on TikTok, the mother explained that as her child's due date was May 17, she decided her middle name would be May.

However, the Mirror reports that the baby ended up being born on April 30. In the viral clip, Tiffany shared a picture of her daughter Eleanor and said: "When your baby's middle name is May because she was due May 17 but she arrives on the last day of April."

Despite the name not being entirely appropriate anymore, Tiffany decided she wasn't going to let the baby's early arrival ruin the name they had planned for her. She added: "We didn't change it either," because it "didn't flow".

The mother's video was seen by more than 916k on the video sharing app, with people quick to give their thoughts on the situation. Many people revealed that they had a similar situation with their own names, or their children's monikers.

One person said: "No worries lol. My middle name is June and I was born in May. It happens." Another said: "We named my daughter's middle name May as well because due date was May 5! Born April 30, 2017."

A third added: "My daughter was due in May but born in June, so spelt her name Mae." Meanwhile, another joked that they could have named her "April May" instead.
