Mum astounded after discovering proper use for supermarket trolley section

A mum was left shocked after realising what little circular holders on shopping trolleys are for - and she has now shared her discovery on social media.

Gemma Bird, who goes by @moneymumofficial on TikTok and Instagram, posted a video online about the shopping hack which will prevent items like flowers and baguettes getting squished. She showed a supermarket trolley - the end opposite to the baby seat - and added the caption: "Did you know this? Let me know, I’m in shock, I didn’t haha."

Over the video, she wrote: "Did you know what they were for?" as she expressed her surprise that she hadn't realised sooner. She said: "Is this just me, or did you realise these existed on trolleys?"

She then places flowers and a baguette into designated holders which can be found on the farthest end of the trolley, reports The Mirror. Gemma claimed she was "still in shock" as she opened her mouth in amazement in the video.

Others were also shocked by the discovery, while some waded in and offered some of their own advice. One wrote: "Flip it round so its in the small section then put the flowers etc in", and Gemma responded: "Amazing, thanks for the tip!"
