A number of suspects have been named in relation to the drug trade in North Merseyside following a busy week of police raids.
Following raids by Merseyside Police's Operation Pelican officers a number of people were arrested on suspicion of drug related offences. Now police have provided an update confirming charges have been brought against several individuals who have been remanded to appear in court at future dates.
On April 26 Charlie Stanton, 25, of Merrilocks Road, Blundellsands, was charged with being concerned in the supply of cocaine of cocaine, heroin and cannabis as part of Merseyside Police's investigation into Encrochat offences. Stanton was tracked by police after they saw him riding in a taxi. He appeared before Wirral Magistrates Court yesterday and was remanded to prison to appear at a later date.

Following an arrest in Waterloo on April 22 Zac Shirreh was charged on suspicion of three offences - possession with intent to supply heroin, acquire, use and possess criminal property, and possession of a controlled drug cannabis. The 25-year-old of Beaconsfield Road, Seaforth, appeared before Liverpool Magistrates Court on April 25 where he was remanded to prison to appear at a later date.
Police raided three cannabis farms all in the Bootle area on Thursday, April 21. Following a bust on Wadham Road they arrested Nojus Mockevicius after finding 111 cannabis plants in the property. Mockevicius, 24, of Oronsay Road, Airdrie, was charged on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis.
Later the same day police also raided Roxburgh Street where they arrested and charged Dat Dinh Trong, 26, of no fixed abode, on suspicion of cultivation of cannabis after 323 cannabis plants were seized. Mockevicius and Trong appeared before Liverpool Magistrates Court and were remanded to appear at a later date.
Enquiries are continuing into a third cannabis farm found on the same day where 358 plants were seized.
