Suspect arrested hours after one killed and five people injured in Ohio warehouse shooting

A suspect in a shooting that killed one and wounded five at an Ohio warehouse has been arrested after a brief manhunt, officials confirmed.

Chief Deputy U.S. Marshal Dan Deville said Bruce Reginal Foster III was located in an apartment in Columbus at around 10 a.m. Wednesday.

“Normally what we prefer to do is have people come out and surrender to us,” Deville said. “He refused to come out. Our guys did have to make entry.”

Foster was then turned over to police in New Albany, where the shooting took place at around 10.30 p.m Tuesday night.

The New Albany police said they evacuated about 150 employees to a neighboring building. The five victims have been taken to hospital for treatment, the authorities said. Their conditions are unknown.

“This is a heartbreaking and tragic situation,” New Albany Police Chief Greg Jones said in a statement. “We train for situations like this, and while it is something no community ever wants to face, we were prepared to act quickly and effectively. We will continue working to bring this situation to a full resolution.”

A firearm has been recovered from the scene, said Jones in an update just before 2 a.m.

He added that the incident appeared to be a “targeted type of attack”.

Law enforcement officers with the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, New Albany and Columbus police and the Attorney General’s Bureau of Criminal Investigation are currently at the scene of the shooting.

The company – KDC/One – provides solutions to many brands in the beauty, personal care, and home care categories.

This incident comes less than 24 hours after one person was shot dead in Hamilton during the early hours of Tuesday. Hamilton police said they were alerted of shots being fired on Clovernook Drive at around 5.45am (local). The shooting took place following an "altercation" between two people that ended with one person being killed, the police added.
