Muireann O'Connell tells of being 'pinched inappropriately' during photo shoot

Ireland AM presenter Muireann O'Connell has alleged that she was "pinched inappropriately" while filming for a photoshoot.

The Limerick woman informed her followers on Instagram of the alleged incident which she claimed happened from a complete stranger.

Posting an image of herself in a white and green dress on her Instagram story, she said: "While we were getting this shot, a complete stranger came up and pinched my arse."

The 40-year-old TV presenter said everyone involved in the shoot assumed that they knew him and that it was a joke, but it wasn't.

"Felt like an idiot for not going after him... and doing I don't know what," she wrote.

She described the experience as "weird", "strange" and "odd" adding that people can get away with things when others "don't want to make a fuss" about a confrontation.

She conceded that it "wasn't a big deal" saying that most of us have something similar done in a pub when we are younger.

However, she added: "But when you're older, you assume you won't let anyone get away with it."

The former Spin South West presenter concluded her recounting of the alleged confrontation, saying: "Well aware that this is a piece of nothing in comparison to what's happening to people everyday without their consent."
