The Virgin Media presenter took to Instagram to share her experiences as a tenant as she redecorated her current home. The 39-year-old revealed she tries to keep a low profile as a renter in order to keep onto her home.
She told followers: “We prefer not to say things to our landlord. That’s our decision.

"We’d like them not to know we exist so we’re not kicked out, although they’re lovely. We’ve been here so long we’re basically squatters.”
Her admission follows discussions about property prices on RTE Radio 1 this morning. Property prices are now reportedly level with those recorded during the Celtic Tiger as the cost of living crisis continues, according to a new report issued by the Banking and Payments Federation.
Mark Rose, managing director of Rose Property Services in Cork, told RTE that a home was reportedly sold for €100,000 over the asking price. He said that he received multiple letters from young families who were involved in the bidding, who were desperate to get the property.
Mark said: “People wrote us letters saying that their kids were in school in the area, they really didn’t want to leave the area and the house was perfect. It’s more supply that we need . We need lots and there’s a few things jamming that up.”
He also said that first time buyers were moving back into the family home in significant numbers to save up for their deposit. He said that although a move back home was not ideal for younger buyers, it was a positive nonetheless that people have that option.
