Muireann O'Connell made an embarrassing faux pas while interviewing actress Emily Watson recently.
The Ireland AM presenter revealed how she accidentally insulted the English actress by quizzing her about Irish slang following her appearance in an Irish film.
Emily stars as Aileen O'Hara in God's Creatures, a film starring alongside Paul Mescal about an Irish mother's relationship with her son after he is accused of a serious crime.

Muireann recounted the embarrassing story to her two co-hosts, Alan Hughes and Katja Mia, on the breakfast show on Monday morning.
Speaking about how familiar Emily is with Irish slang sayings, Muireann said: "I was interviewing Emily Watson on Friday," Muireann said. "Do you know the way they're [the characters] from Kerry?
"So I asked Emily Watson 'if I said to you know you're a fine cute hoor, would you get it?'
"She did not understand what that was, she was like 'what!?'"
Rather than embarrass herself any further, Muireann said she promptly got up and left the room.
"She thought I was slagging her, but I was like 'sure it's a Kerry saying!' And then I just went "bye" and left the room. Don't do that to Emily Watson!"
