Mudryk starts, Madueke message: Six changes Frank Lampard must make to Chelsea XI vs Bournemouth

Frank Lampard has several easy decisions to make ahead of Chelsea's trip to the Vitality Stadium at the weekend. Bournemouth will welcome the Blues to the south coast on Saturday afternoon as the Cherries hope to pile on the misery.

Following the defeat to Arsenal, Chelsea have now lost each of their six games since Lampard was named caretaker manager. Despite having preferred a conservative lineup, the 44-year-old finally decided to operate a back-four against the Gunners.

While the west Londoners were often chasing their shadows at the Emirates Stadium, a number of players showed great promise, including Mykhailo Mudryk and Noni Madueke. The duo caused plenty of problems down the wing against Arsenal, leaving many to dream of how Mauricio Pochettino could take them to the next level.

So, with that being said, football.london has taken a look at the six changes Lampard must make to the starting lineup against Bournemouth.

Mudryk for Sterling

Mudryk enjoyed another fantastic cameo off the bench for Chelsea against Arsenal, proving once again why he could be the club's most dangerous attacker. The 22-year-old's energy, determination and creativity is quite visibly infectious, with those around him matching his wavelength.

Fofana for Aubameyang

Bizarrely, David Datro Fofana hasn't been given much of a look in by either Graham Potter or Frank Lampard. The 20-year-old last featured for Chelsea off the bench against Southampton back in February, and Chelsea haven't seen a better performance from either Pierre Emerick-Aubameyang or Kai Havertz since.

Badiashile for Thiago Silva

While Thiago Silva has been faultless for much of his time at Chelsea, the Blues will benefit more in the long-run by allowing Benoit Badiashile to build a strong relationship with Wesley Fofana. At times, the former of the two Frenchman has been the club's best centre-half this season so a start against the Cherries is certainly warranted.

Chukwuemeka for Kovacic

Like Badiashile and Fofana, Carney Chukwuemeka hasn't had much a chance to prove himself under Lampard. The former Aston Villa midfielder has already proven that he's got plenty of potential waiting to be unlocked so it'd be a disservice to the next Chelsea manager to prioritise Mateo Kovacic, who's been heavily linked with an exit recently and not been in the greatest form either.

Chalobah for Azpilicueta

Cesar Azpilicueta will unquestionably go down as a club legend but his time at the highest level seems to have come to an end. With Chelsea set to be spoiled for choice at centre-back next season and Malo Gusto arriving in the summer, Trevoh Chalobah must be given the chance to prove why he's a valuable asset to the next Blues boss.

Mendy for Kepa

Kepa Arrizabalaga is a valiant shot-stopper but his recent performances have left Lampard with no excuse to not give Edouard Mendy a run of games. The west Londoners' season is largely redundant now so there'd be no harm in showing faith in the Senegal international.
