A much loved shop in Harehills is set to close after 24 years in the area, leaving many heartbroken.
Direct Discount, in Harehills Lane, sells cut price products ranging from toiletries to household cleaning products and more.
The shop has been in the area for over two decades but the owners revealed to customers they will not be renewing their lease.

Telling customers this could be their last week, they wrote: “Hi everyone, we will be closed until Wednesday 6th July, sorry for the short notice. This could be our last week
“Many of our regulars have been notified of our sad news that we will no longer be renewing the lease after 24 years in the area.
“We still have certain lines in stock, so call down to see us if not to grab a bargain or call and have a chat before we go.
“Thank you everyone for your custom and all the laughs you have given us over the years. You are all simply the best. Love Mark & Elaine”
People have responded to the news on social media, telling the shop owners they will be “missed terribly.”
Debra Hunt said: “I still can’t believe you guys are going you will be missed terribly where am I going for my cards now guys I always come to you. Take care and wherever your journey takes you I wish you all the best xx
Tina Golding said: “Oh no that is such sad news. Best shop on the lane....Wishing you both the very best for the future x
Carol Brown also said: “The lane won't be the same without you guys, you watch me from being pregnant to watching both my daughters grow up, will miss the laughs, all the very best for the future xx
Sharon Thompson added: “My grandad will be gutted, he’s shopped in here for years for his cleaning stuff!”
