Michigan State point guard Tyson Walker is good to go in Friday’s NCAA Tournament matchup against Davidson.
Head coach Tom Izzo confirmed on Thursday that Walker is expected to play for the Spartans after suffering an ankle injury in the Big Ten Tournament last week. The injury occurred early in Michigan State’s loss to Purdue on Saturday, and it was uncertain early in the week if he’d be able to play in the NCAA Tournament.
Colton Pouncy of The Athletic recorded a video of Walker shooting three-pointers during the team’s open practice on Thursday, and it appears he is in good position to have an impactful game vs. Davidson. Check out the video below:

Walker is averaging 8.1 points and 4.3 assists this season for the Spartans, and helps lead Michigan State’s offense in tandem with AJ Hoggard. So getting him back for this game is huge for Michigan State.
Tip off between Michigan State and Davidson is scheduled for 9:40 p.m. EDT on Friday. The game can be seen on CBS.
