For another week, Michigan State hockey is one spot behind the top-ranked team in the country.
Michigan State came in at No. 2 in the updated USCHO.com poll that was released on Monday. The Spartans are behind only No. 1 Boston College — who also held the top spot last week.
Michigan State picked up a win and tie this past weekend against No. 4 Minnesota. The Spartans are 20-3-3 overall on the year and hold a five-point lead over the Golden Gophers in Big Ten play.
Four other Big Ten teams were included in this week’s rankings: Minnesota (No. 4), Ohio State (No. 11), Michigan (No. 13) and Wisconsin (No. 17).
