MSU Hockey adds high-level USHL defenseman to roster

Michigan State hockey has added a high-level scoring defenseman to its 2024-25 roster.

Nathaniel Bott of the Lansing State Journal reported on Tuesday that the Spartans have added defenseman Vladislav Lukashevich to replace the hole left by star defenseman Artyom Levshunov. Levshunov was selected No. 2 overall in this year’s NHL Draft and has recently elected to forgo his remaining eligibility with the Spartans to begin his professional career.

Lukashevich starred for Tri-City this past season in the USHL. According to Bott, he was third in scoring for defenseman in the USHL with 11 goals and 32 assists. Lukashevich was also a second-team All-USHL selection this past season.

Lukashevich is a fourth-round selection of the Florida Panthers.
