Jacoby Windmon was a star transfer get for Michigan State a year ago. The UNLV transfer was set to play both defensive end and linebacker for MSU in 2022, and did a good job at it. The season couldn’t have started any better for Windmon, receiving the Big Ten player of the week award three separate times.
That all came crashing to a halt after Windmon was involved in the unfortunate tunnel incident in Ann Arbor, that brought his season to an early end. Now, Windmon is looking to redeem himself, coming back to East Lansing for one more final season, looking to make a positive mark on the Spartan football program.
Windmon spoke to the media on Monday, the first time he has since the tunnel incident, and talked all things himself and the program:
On the tunnel incident
Windmon: “I would never say it’s behind me because it’s something I have to live with the rest of my life.” Says he wants to learn and grow from the fight.

On entering the NFL
Windmon says he went back and forth on entering the NFL this offseason but says he’s very confident in his decision to stay for his last year of college.

On MSU's front 7
Windmon says that MSU has a pretty good front 7 and says playing complimentary football and everyone playing 110% will be a big difference from last year.

On BT Jordan leaving for new job
Windmon says that he was very happy for BT Jordan and his new job (with the Seahawks). Says he watched him develop his craft from 3-4 years ago-now.
