Michigan State catcher Bryan Broecker was selected by the Tampa Bay Rays in the MLB Draft on Tuesday.
Broecker was the third Spartan to be selected in this year’s draft, coming off the board in the 13th round with the No. 393 overall pick. Broecker had a .316 batting average with eight home runs and 36 RBIs in his 49 games played this past season.
This was the first time since 2019 that Michigan State baseball had at least three players selected in the MLB Draft.
