A pro-Israel group is urging an investigation into Ms. Rachel, a popular YouTuber with over 14 million subscribers, over alleged ties to Hamas, citing her vocal support for Palestinian children in Gaza, according to an exclusive story from the New York Post.
StopAntisemitism, a Jewish civil rights watchdog group, accused Ms. Rachel, whose real name is Rachel Griffin Accurso, of spreading propaganda for Hamas by consistently sharing social media posts that call attention to children's suffering in Gaza, especially on Instagram where she accumulated more than 2 million followers.
Ms. Rachel has shared posts imploring Israeli forces to "stop bombing children" as the death toll in Gaza surpassed 15,000 since Oct. 7, 2023 -- a figure denied by Israel and StopAntisemitism but supported by the United Nations (UN). Ms. Rachel also accused Israel of violating the Geneva Conventions and the Convention on the Rights of the Child by blocking food and water, both in 2024 and 2025.
"We can't let this continue. Every child deserves to live (over 15,000 killed) and have access to healthy food and clean water," she wrote in a post shared last month.
According to The Post, Liora Rez, director of StopAntisemitism to U.S. Attorney General Pam Bondi, urged the Department of Justice (DoJ) "to investigate whether or not Ms. Rachel is being remunerated to disseminate Hamas-aligned propaganda to her millions of followers." The group also accused her of "incorporating Hamas-like propagated images and stories into her content."
"Her posts have largely ignored the suffering of Israeli victims, hostages, and Jewish children, while she consistently amplifies misinformation from Hamas and other anti-Israel sources," Rez added, despite the mega-popular influencer sharing multiple posts mourning the Bibas family. She has also prayed for children in Israel and Gaza in videos shared to her YouTube channel.
When asked whether StopAntisemitism had any evidence to support Ms. Rachel was acting on behalf of Hamas and not exercising her right to free speech.
"We are merely asking the Attorney General to investigate. While Ms. Rachel is entitled to her opinions and to exercise her free speech rights, there are laws that require those being paid by foreign countries to disclose these things. Foreign agents must register," the group stated.
