Mrs Potts' Chocolate House is still a dream come true

Mrs Potts Chocolate House is native to Bristol, despite now having successfully branched out to both Bath and Cardiff. They provide what's promised - offering as much chocolate as you can dream of.

Heaven for anyone with a sweet tooth, they offer a huge range of goods from cookie sandwiches to various blondies and cakes. They even boast a huge 'Matilda Cake' which resembles the chocolate beast from the film, devoured by Bruce Bogtrotter.

As well as offering a range of takeaway items, the Park Street chocolate factory also facilitates diners that want to sit in. You can grab a table and enjoy a sugar filled afternoon tea - or a chocolate themed platter between friends.

With our office only a 15 minute walk away, the Bristol Live team deemed it essential to gather some goods to see us through the day. The menu and in store options left me spoilt for choice, with cookies, cakes and more calling my name.

I deemed it a necessity to try a milkshake and was impressed to learn they offer completely vegan shakes, with dairy free milk, ice cream and whipped cream. After much debate I opted for the cookies and cream shake which can only be described as perfect.

It was creamy and sweet but not too sickly. Can you ask for much more?

I spent a while choosing what treats to bring back to my colleagues and the pressure was certainly on. I'd been thinking about the famous cookie sandwiches all day and so that was a must.

I spent a while going back and forth on the rest of my options, with the huge cakes looking like works of art. In the end I opted for the white chocolate and raspberry blondie along with a Nutella stuffed cookie - which looked the perfect gooey texture.

The goods were boxed up in adorable packaging before I took them on my way. I spent £18.30 in total with the most expensive item being the £6.50 shake - which isn't too surprising a price for an all vegan drink from a local business.

The Bristol Live team flocked together as the goods came through the office doors, with expectations high. I unboxed my items and the team was simply in awe.

We started off with the Nutella stuffed cookie and the verdict was unanimous. A chorus of "mmmmm" filled the office.

I'm not a huge Nutella fan but the evident gooeyness of the cookie meant I couldn't resist temptation and even I was absolutely in love. Mrs Potts, you may have converted me.

Next up, the cookie sandwich. A special creation of two double chocolate cookies, held together by white chocolate ganache; we also opted to have additional chocolate drizzled over the top.

Again, a unanimous sound of "mmm" graced our ears. The cookie was undeniably good and quite literally melted in your mouth; it somehow managed to not be too sickly sweet despite all of it's sugary components.

The last of our treats was a little different; a raspberry and white chocolate blondie. Like the other treats, you could tell it was freshy made.

The blondie received the same response from the Bristol Live team members, who joked that the review of Mrs Potts would simply consist of one word "mmm".

The white chocolate and raspberry chunks went deliciously together; I could eat a good few without complaint. The freshness of the bakes was easily the best thing about them - there's nothing like some gooey sweetness to make your day.

This newfound love for Mrs Potts is a double edged sword as I am certain they will be seeing a lot more of me from now on.
