Mrs Hinch shares emotional update from hospital after her toddler was rushed to A&E

Mrs Hinch has shared a new update with fans following her eldest son's scary hospital dash.

The Instagram sensation, 33, told her loyal followers this evening how son Ronnie, three, hasn't been discharged from hospital just yet but has been able to enjoy the sunshine outdoors while receiving medical treatment.

Mrs Hinch - real name Sophie Hinchcliffe - was left terrified after her young son was rushed to hospital last week as his temperature soared to over 40C.

After an uncharacteristically quiet few days on social media, the mum-of-two took to her Instagram Stories on Sunday to let her followers know why she has been absent from the platform.

"Absolutely nothing prepares you for something like this. Being on a children's ward, seeing so many innocent little arms bandaged with cannulas. I just can't comprehend the whole thing," Sophie wrote within the length update over the weekend.

The star, who also shares son Lennie, two, with husband Jamie Hinchcliffe, has since returned to Instagram to let people know how her young child is getting on.

Sharing a snap of Ronnie playing basketball with dad Jamie in an outdoor area, Sophie captioned the shot: "Hello Everyone. Today this happened.

"For the past few days Ron has spotted the boys and girls playing basketball from our hospital room window. Today we wheeled him there Daddy lifted him up and he scored."

Sophie, who is pals with Stacey Solomon, continued: "I've never felt a feeling like it. We may not be able to go home yet but I am just so grateful for this moment right here right now.

"We love you millions Ron."

The star first shared the news of Ronnie's ill health with her 4.7million followers on Sunday.

Writing on her Instagram Stories, the influencer penned: ""Everything seems like fog right now.

"Ron's temperature spiked to over 40C and his neck was swelling with limited head movement. I couldn't keep meds or fluids in him. We were taken to A&E and sent home with antibiotics and it just didn't feel right.

"My gut told me 'no'. So after phoning 111 we were taken back in and thankfully admitted."

Sophie went on to reveal Ronnie was then given IV antibiotics and that the family is now seeing a "really, really slow improvement", but that the toddler will be in for a "little longer yet".

The social media guru added: "Absolutely nothing prepares you for something like this. Being on a children's ward, seeing so many innocent little arms bandaged with cannulas. I just can't comprehend the whole thing.

"But I wanted to check in on here very quickly whilst Ron's asleep. I share so much of my life on here, the good and the bad.

"I have a fantastic support network from my followers so I just wanted to say thank you for so many messages. I haven't vanished I promise".

Sophie also said Ronnie "smiled away in the ambulance, loved seeing all the buttons and wires, and now thinks his cannula is his own little wire of magic".
