Nisha Katona appeared on last night's episode of BBC's Celebrity MasterChef and since then, everyone has been talking about her Indian “street food” restaurant Mowgli which is set to open new branches in Glasgow, Edinburgh and London.
Alongside John Torode and Gregg Wallace, she tasked the celeb contestants on the BBC show to cook an Indian recipe from her menu, as inspired by her restaurants.
Mowgli has become synonymous with quality, authentic, Indian food. In 2018, it was awarded a place in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list and in 2019, owner Nisha Katona, a former barrister, was awarded an MBE for her services to the Food Industry.
And it seems the delicious-looking street food will soon be being served up on St Vincent Street, next Spring, at the former home of Handmade Burger Co.
But who is Nisha and what do we know so far about her Glasgow restaurant?
Who is Nisha Katona, owner of Mowgli?
Nisha is best known for being a British chef and founder and restaurant owner of Mowgli Street Food restaurants as well as the Mowgli Trust charity.
In addition to this, she is also a food writer and television presenter.
According to her personal page, after studying law, Nisha worked as a full time barrister for 20 years before giving up the security of the bar and turning her passion for food into a career.
After opening Mowgli in 2014 in Liverpool, the eatery was awarded a placement in The Sunday Times Fast Track 100 list.
Then in 2019, she was recognised with an MBE in the New Year Honours list for services to the Food Industry.

All in all, the 49-year-old has a grand total of 18 Mowgli restaurants in the UK - five of which are set to open within the next year.
She already has three books published and will soon be releasing her fourth, The 30-Minute Mowgli, on November 9 2021.
Nisha regularly appears on TV and radio as a restaurant, food and business expert and has appeared several times on This Morning cooking up dishes such as traybakes and Nisha's chicken jalfrezi.
She also has a number of projects with the BBC including being a regular judge on BBC 2’s ‘Top of the Shop’.
What will Mowgli's menu look like?
While every Mowgli is different, Nisha keeps her menus the same in each one, as they are based on tried and trusted family favourites, served in her own kitchen (down the road in Wirral), and inspired by her Ma's cooking.
And yes - they cater to everyone and even have a separate vegan and gluten-free menu.
Plus, you'll be happy to know it's not just veg and fruit you can eat - they have so many options so nobody feels left out.
Oh and if this wasn't enough, all of their restaurants are dog friendly - subject to the Manager’s discretion.
