Children will get to see some moving dinosaurs at a shopping centre this weekend.
A giant T-Rex will be among the dinosaurs on show at the Royal Quays Outlet and Independent Centre, in North Shields, on Saturday, March 26. There will also be a chance to learn about fossils and facts about the creatures during the free event between 11am and 3pm.
Matt Dawson, centre manager, said: "We will have dinosaurs at the centre on Saturday including a T-Rex and raptors. These won't be statues - they are moving dinosaurs.

"There will also be fossils to see and a ranger will be there who will be able to provide interesting facts about dinosaurs to visitors. We are looking forward to welcoming children and their families on the day."
Two new leisure venues have recently opened at the centre. This month, the Arcade Warehouse opened its doors, with a string of retro and modern arcade games, PCs, consoles, virtual reality (VR) sets, pool, air hockey and basketball.
Entry to the venue is £8.95 for two hours and all machines are set to free play, which means people can play as much as they want during their time slots. Under 5s are free.
Meanwhile, a new play café for children has also opened. The Acorn & Oak Play Café, aimed at youngsters aged up to six, has a number of role play zones including a kitchen, construction area, medical centre, shops and a picnic area.
It is recommended that sessions at both places are booked in advance.
