Motorists warned to plan ahead as two Lanarkshire roads set to close for repair work

Monklands motorists are urged to plan ahead as two roads are set to close for repair work over the next couple of weeks.

Work by Scottish Power will see Sheilhill Road in Longriggend shut for five days from June 1.

This will be between the B803 Greengairs Road and Upperton Road and alternative routes for drivers will include Brownrigg Road, Telegraph Road, Main Street, Bridge Street, Meadowfield Road and Upperton Road.

And Glenboig’s Glenboig New Road will be closed on June 9-10 for carriageway repairs.

The closure will run from Mollinsburn Road to Coatbridge Road B804 and those two roads, along with Muirdyke Road and Yetts Hole Road, will be available as diversions for motorists.
