Motorists warned about traffic disruption as two Lanarkshire roads set to close

Two Monklands roads will be closed for eight hours next month for ironwork repairs - with motorists warned there won't be any diversions in place during one of the closures.

Disruption will hit Airdrie’s Etive Drive when it shuts from 8am to 4pm on Monday, August 8.

The closure will be between Orchy Crescent and its termination and drivers are advised no alternative routes are on offer.

And Langloan Street in Coatbridge, from Langloan Crescent to Kirkwood Street, will close during the same hours on Wednesday, August 10.

Kirkwood Street and the A89 Bank Street will be available as diversions for drivers, while pedestrian access “will be permitted where practical”.
