Motorists urged to use diversions as Lanarkshire road will close for two days next week

Drivers are urged to use alternative routes as a Lanarkshire road is closing for two days next week.

The B803 Coatbridge Road in Glenmavis will be shutting from July 28-29, between Waddell Avenue and Yetts Hole Road.

This is for the completion of “siding out works” and diversions for motorists will include Main Street, Dunbeth Road, Burnbank Street, Aitchison Street, Commonside Street and Deedes Street.

And the examination of a railway bridge will see Coatbridge’s Bank Street (A89) shut from 10pm on August 2 until 6am the following day.

The closure will be from the Fountain roundabout to Ross Street and alternative routes for drivers will be Blair Road, Gartsherrie Road and Sunnyside Road (B803).

Head online to find out further information about ongoing and upcoming roadworks in Lanarkshire.
