Three people have been taken to hospital following a two vehicle crash in Northumberland.
A section of the A1 near Belford is currently closed in both directions and motorists have been told to expect 'heavy delays'.
Emergency services were called to the collision at Adderstone Services just before 4pm and remain at the scene.

Three patients have been transported by ambulance to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital in Cramlington for treatment. Nobody is believed to be seriously injured.
Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service has sent four crews to the scene from Belford, Alnwick, Seahouses and West Hartford. They said the road is expected to be closed for around two hours.
Northumbria Police said there is a diversion in place to assist with traffic management. They said the road will be closed for some time and heavy delays are expected.
A spokesperson for the force said: "Just before 4pm today (Wednesday), police received a report of a two-vehicle collision near Adderstone Services, in Belford, Northumberland.
"Emergency services are currently at the scene. Occupants of the vehicles will be transported to hospital, however no-one is believed to be seriously injured.
"Both lanes of the A1 carriageway are closed and there is a diversion in place to assist with traffic management. Motorists are advised there are heavy delays and that the road will be closed for some time."
The North East Ambulance Service (NEAS) sent two ambulance crews and a clinical team leader to the scene.
A spokesperson said: "We were called to reports of a road traffic collision around the Adderstone Services area at 3.50pm this afternoon.
"We dispatched two ambulance crews and a clinical team leader, and transported three patients to Northumbria Specialist Emergency Care Hospital."
A spokesperson for Northumberland Fire and Rescue Service added: "Crews from Belford, Alnwick, Seahouses and West Hartford are dealing with the incident and the A1 is blocked in both directions at this location at present."
