Motorists set for disruption as two Lanarkshire roads set to close for hours of repair works

Coatbridge motorists are warned to prepare for disruption to their travels as two roads in the town are set to close for a number of hours on separate days.

A manhole cover repair will see a Kirkwood Street closed for eight-and-a-half hours on Sunday, May 29.

The closure, from Bank Street (A89) to an “unnamed private access road”, will start at 9.30am and alternative routes will be Langloan Street and Bank Street (A89).

And the town's Woodside Street will be shut all day on June 5 for bridge repairs.

This will apply between Allan Street and the A89 Bank Street, with the latter road and the B753 Dundyvan Road, the A725 Whifflet Street, School Street and Old Monkland Road available as diversions.

Head online to find out more about roadworks and road closures throughout Lanarkshire.
