Motorists in a Lanarkshire village will have to contend with roadworks for two whole months.
Main Street in Newmains will be closed from its junction with the A71 Overtown Road southwards from Monday, June 6, until Sunday, August 7.
The restrictions are being introduced to facilitate the construction of two new roundabouts as part of an adjacent development site.
Pedestrian access will be permitted at all times where applicable.
Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing access to the south side of the closure should proceed via A71 Overtown Road, A721 Wishaw Road and A73 Main Street.
Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing access to the north side of the closure should proceed vice versa.
Elsewhere in Newmains, there will also be a closure in Alcath Road from Monday, July 4, until Tuesday, August 9.
The order is required to facilitate Scottish Power Network improvement works.
Pedestrian access will also be permitted here at all times where applicable.
Vehicles on the south side of the closure wishing access to the north side of the closure should proceed via Alcath Road and Woodside Crescent. Vehicles on the north side of the closure wishing access to the south side of the closure should proceed vice versa.
