Motorists facing travel disruption as busy Lanarkshire road set to close for five days

Motorists are facing traffic disruption when a busy Airdrie road closes for five days next week.

Carriageway patching works will see the town's Duntilland Road shut from February 13-17.

The closure will run between Stepends Road and Bracco Road and diversions for motorists will include Roughrigg Road, Bowhousebrae Road, Craigens Road and Burniebrae Road.

And Manor Drive in nearby Coatbridge, between Drumpellier Avenue and Deanbank Road, will be closed from 9.30am to 3.30pm on February 9.

This is to allow for an ironwork cover replacement on behalf of Scottish Water and drivers are advised there won’t be any alternative routes available during the closure.
