Motorists advised to plan ahead as Lanarkshire road gets set for five-day closure

Monklands motorists are advised to plan ahead as an Airdrie road will close for five days next week.

Footway resurfacing work will see the town's Credon Drive shut from July 18-22.

The closure will be between Angus Avenue and the B802 Cairnhill Road, with the latter road available as a diversion and pedestrian access being “permitted where practical”.

And West Canal Street in Coatbridge is shutting from 10pm on August 1 until 6am the next day, from the Fountain roundabout to Heritage Way, for the “examination of the railway bridge”.

Blairhill Street and Bank Street (A89) will be acting as alternative routes for motorists during the closure.
