A motorist stopped by police in Wishaw was found to be nearly five times over the drink-drive limit.
The driver was stopped by Motherwell Road Policing, and when given a breath test returned a reading of 107 micrograms of alcohol in 100 ml of breath against the current limit of 22.
Officers discovered during checks that the motorist was already disqualified with no insurance. He was arrested and taken into custody to be charged ahead of appearing in court, while his vehicle was seized.
