Officers arrested two men after motorcyclists sped through red lights on a stolen bike in a police chase.
At around 7pm on Monday, March 7, police on Shevingtons Lane in Kirkby spotted two men on a dark-coloured, high-powered motorbike with no registration plate.
Police indicated for them to stop, however the bike sped off at speed and went through several red traffic lights in the area.

Officers stopped the bike using a stop stick and arrested two men, aged 24 and 19, from Kirkby on suspicion of driving offences, burglary and possession of criminal property.
The men were taken to a police station in Merseyside for questioning and remain In custody
Following enquiries it was established the bike had been reported stolen in a burglary last month.
A blue Yamaha FZ1 Fazer motorbike was taken from the garage of a house on Ferguson Road on Sunday, February 27, 2022 between 4pm and 10.45pm.
Detective Inspector Gavin Mulcahy said: “Thanks to the quick thinking of our officers a motorcycle was stopped that endangered the lives of residents and drivers in the area and could have caused serious damage to our roads.
“Although two arrests have been made, we are encouraging anyone on Ferguson Road at the time of the burglary who saw anything suspicious or has any doorbell or CCTV footage to come forward. We’ll act on all information provided.
“Burglaries can have a massive impact on the person and families affected as they have had their home invaded which is an awful experience to go through and can often have a massive and long-lasting impact on victims.”
