A motorcyclist was taken to hospital tonight after a serious crash in Ayr.
The rider fell from his bike in the town's Stonecrop Road around 6.40pm.
Emergency services raced to the scene with an air ambulance dispatched.
The A713 was closed at Dalmellington Road, allowing teams to work at the scene.
A police spokesperson confirmed: "Officers were called to assist in Stonecrop Road around 6.40pm with a motorcyclist who had fallen from his bike."
