A motorcyclist is in hospital with serious injuries after crashing into a parked car last night (September 17). The driver of the Yamaha bike hit a parked Ford Kuga just after 8pm in Mossley.
Initial police enquiries have found that the crash happened on Manchester Road near the junction with Mill Road at around 8.05pm. The rider was taken to hospital with serious injuries where they remain.
Their family have been informed.
A GMP Tameside spokesman said: "Investigators appeal for information or dash cam footage following a serious collision in Tameside. Enquiries have so far established that a Yamaha motorcycle collided with a parked Ford Kuga on Manchester Road, Mossley near the junction with Mill Road at around 20.05 last night (Friday 16 September 2022).
"The rider of the motorcycle is in hospital with serious injuries. His family have been informed. Anyone with information should contact investigators via 0161 856 4741 quoting 3026 17/09/22. Information about crime can also be shared anonymously via the independent charity – Crimestoppers, on 0800 555 111."
