The motorcyclist has been taken to the Queen Elizabeth University Hospital in Glasgow for treatment, police have confirmed this evening.

Although the extent of the motorcyclist's injuries have not been disclosed.

Police locked down the estate shortly after the crash took place and the road remains closed this evening, officers have stated.
