A motorcyclist has been killed in a four-vehicle crash in Pembrokeshire.
Dyfed-Powys Police confirmed that the rider of a grey motorcycle died at the scene of the crash on Freemens Way, Haverfordwest, on Friday evening. The road was closed immediately after the crash at 5.30pm and reopened at 1.15am on Saturday morning.
The Wales Air Ambulance attended the scene along with land crews from the Welsh Ambulance Service. A spokesman for the ambulance service said: "We were called at approximately 5.30pm on Friday to reports of a road traffic accident at Keats Grove, Haverfordwest. We sent numerous resources to the scene, where crews were also supported by an air ambulance.”
There were no other injuries, police added. In a statement issued on Saturday morning, the force said: "Police are appealing for witnesses following a four-vehicle collision on Freemans Way, Haverfordwest at approximately 5.30pm on Friday, August 26, 2022.
"Sadly the rider of a grey motorcycle involved in the collision was pronounced dead at the scene. No-one else was injured. The road was closed for a number of hours for emergency services to deal with the collision and investigative work to begin. It reopened at around 1.15am on Saturday."
There were long tailbacks of cars entering Haverfordwest as the road remained closed during rush hour and as people arrived for the long bank holiday weekend.
