A 44-year-old man has died after crashing while riding his motorbike on a Scots country road.
The man, whose name has not been released by police, died after his orange and white KTM motorcycle crashed on the A947 north of Oldmeldrum in Aberdeenshire, near Inverurie.
He was taken to hospital following the crash at 7.15pm on Saturday September 17 but sadly succumbed to his injuries.
No other vehicles were involved in the incident.
However, police have launched an appeal for eyewitnesses and anyone with dashcam footage to get in touch.
Road Policing Sergeant Steve Manson said: “Our enquiries into the circumstances are at an early stage and our thoughts are with the rider’s family at this difficult time.
“It is believed the motorcycle travelled along the A947 from Aberdeen towards Oldmeldrum and we are appealing for anyone who witnessed the collision or saw the motorcycle prior to the collision to get in touch.”
Anyone who can assist with the enquiry is asked to contact Police Scotland on 101, quoting incident 3128 of 17 September, 2022.
